The Center for Inquiry (CFI) in Montreal is keeping an eye on the progress of the Atheist Bus Campaign that is gathering steam in Toronto.
According to a report on The Canadian Press Web site, Guilliaume Loignon, of CFI Montreal “says there could be conversations about Toronto's concept if it works well.”
Toronto organizer, Katie Kish, seems to be having a good deal of success raising money for her campaign. Donations are rolling in, and according to the campaign’s Facebook page, one person, Trevor Byrns, donated $3000. In a post on the site, Kish said:
The amount of response that we have received today has been totally overwhelming. I always knew the Canadians were out there who wanted to support the freethought and secular movement - and it’s so great to finally be getting in contact with those people.
