Lisa Daniels Wall has been an Aspergers and Autism activist for years. This stems from her work with special needs children in college. She has a grandson with Asperger's Syndrome and her family felt like they were reinventing the wheel when it came to his diagnosis and education. She wants to let other parents and grandparents know they are not alone. Lisa wants to give these special families resources that will help them and the children they love. These children can grow and develop into happy, socially functioning teens and adults but it takes work and this is the place they can begin their journey. These special challenges will develop into enlightenment allowing these loving caregivers and their special family members a secure knowledge that love and learning is accessible and available. This column will offer educational and recreational resources that will help develop the Asperger and Autistic child.
