The Academy of Art recently opened its 2010 edition of its annual Spring Show showcasing the top talent of each department. The artists reception took place on May 27th and the Fine Arts show will run until August 1st at 79 New Montgomery in San Francisco. Big name contemporary artists were called in to judge prospective works. Contemporary ceramic and installation artist Anne Weber and gallery owner Scott McCue helped to judge the Fine Art works for the exhibit.
The Academy of Art regularly showcases the work of its top students through the Spring Show and its annual Spring Fashion Show which took place on May 3rd. The Academy of Art Fashion Show is the only school fashion show invited to New York Fashion Week each year. Industry professionals from around the world flock to San Francisco to catch a glimpse of this talent from the largest privately run art university in the world.
