Kim Hermanson, Ph.D. serves as adjunct faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute and the Sophia Center at Holy Names University, and she has led workshops at the Esalen Institute. Her most recent book is Getting Messy: A Guide to Taking Risks and Opening the Imagination for Teachers, Trainers, Coaches and Mentors. Her first book, Sky’s the Limit: The Art of Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey, received an Independent Publisher Book Award in 2006. In addition to her own publications, she has co-authored articles and book chapters on creativity and learning with Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the author of Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience and other books. She received her Ph.D. in Adult Learning from the University of Chicago.
