The other day at Dollar Tree, in the craft supply section, I found something interesting: 32-count packages of 4 x 6 inch foam sheets in assorted colors. I started to wonder, how many projects could I get out of this one dollar package of foam?
As I wandered farther down the aisle, I contemplated my first project. Suddenly, the answer was literally in front of me. Picture frames!
I picked out a $1 frame, paid my $2 + tax purchase, and headed home to get crafty. What resulted was this fun picture frame.
The project was easy enough for kids to handle and could be done in many different color schemes and with different embellishments to go with any occasion. Make one for Mother's Day, as a baby shower or wedding shower gift, and more. They also make great gifts for teens!
It required only one 4 x 6 inch sheet each of two colors of foam, so I still have 30 more sheets left to play with as well. Oh, the possibilities!
Click the slideshow below for a step-by-step photo tutorial showing how to make the frame, and stay tuned for more great foam projects as I work my way through the rest of the stack!
