Art lovers and holiday shoppers rejoice; it’s time for the 6th annual SoWa Holiday Market. Located at the Cathedral High School Gymnasium, 74 Union Park Street, Boston on Saturday and Sunday, December 12th and 13th, 2009, this year’s SoWa Holiday Market has a lot to offer this season.
Artists from around New England will be presenting their wares for sale in an array of funky and cutting edge gifts. With 80 vendors, each selling handmade, indie items ranging from pottery, to paintings, jewelry to sculpture, there is something for to fill every everyone’s stocking.
Highlights include stationary, handbags and baby clothes, all handmade and unique. With vendors such as milliner, Marie Galvin bringing her award winning hats, and Jen Bennet of Zoogu bringing her hand sewn and original stuffed animals this holiday fair is sure to delight shoppers of all ages.
Shoppers browsing at the Holiday Market can head further into SoWa’s arts and media district for hot food, drinks and a further perusal of the boutiques and galleries the South End has to offer.
Admission to the market is $5 for adults; children under 12 are free. Look for free parking at 540 and 500 Harrison Ave, just two blocks from the show.
