Zune HD launches new Twitter application

Today, Microsoft Zune launched a new Twitter application for its Zune HD device. The rollout began at 9am Pacific Standard Time and will allow users to use Twitter without the need for using the internet browser on the Zune HD.

There's been plenty of discussion about both the Twitter and Facebook applications that are being offered. While the Twitter app is making its debut, questions are still arising for the release date (not yet known) of the Facebook application.

The Twitter application is available through both the Zune software Marketplace or the device's WiFi Marketplace.
