Zsa Zsa Gabor is recovering from blood clot surgery after being released from the hospital less than 48 hours after her return to her residence.
The Beverly Hills Courier reports that the world famous socialite and Hollywood celebrity is currently recovering from her latest surgery (Saturday, Aug.14) and is expected to be hospitalized for a few more days.
Ed Lozzi, publicist for Francesca Hilton (Zsa Zsa's daughter) said, "Initially she was supposed to have a pin adjusted, and she was going to come home. But they decided to keep her, to avoid traveling back and forth."
At the time of Lozzi's phone interview, Gabor was said to be medicated but conscious after her August 14 surgery.
After being released from the hospital 4 weeks after receiving emergency hip replacement surgery, the Moulin Rouge actress was returned to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center due to bleeding.
Excessive bleeding has been an ongoing complication with the 93-year old actress since her hip surgery on July 17.
Since the Touch of Evil actress fell in her home in Bel Air in mid July, her husband has ended his plan to run for governor for the state of California in order to care for his wife.
Von Anhalt told media, “Nearly a quarter century ago I promised for better or worse, and my wife’s worst time is now, and I will do everything to comfort her...She will have my physical support, love and understanding as long as I live.”
Did you know? Frederic Prinz von Anhalt was adopted at the age of 37 in a business venture between Hans Hermann Weyer and Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhalt. In likewise fashion, Zsa Zsa Gabor and her husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, have adopted several adult males, including Marcus Eberhardt, Oliver Bendig, and Michael Killer. All of the adoptees are legally entitled to use the last name of "Prinz von Anhalt."
