Benefits of being scared
Being scared causes your body to react by what is called fight or flight. In fight or flight responses the body gets a rush of adrenaline, the heart beats harder and faster, and blood pressure increases.
This common thrill seekers drug can be good for your heart and organs when experienced in small doses. While the heart is working harder and administering extra oxygen in a fight or flight burst the organs feel the same as a trip on the treadmill.
Long-term fear, however, does stress the body and is often accused of causing numerous health problems. But this Halloween season Zooboo’s haunted houses shared with family, friends, laughs, and burst of adrenaline might be just the Halloween workout your organs long for.
