After a rapid rise in water, Zoo America officials have begun to move some of the animals to higher ground and in temporary homes. The facility has a severe weather plan that they have begun to put into action.
Workers at the zoo are also beginning to assemble more temporary homes in case more animals need to be moved. So far, the crew has moved nearly two dozen animals to higher ground. All animals are safe at this point.
