Charbroild Chicken Burrito served Zona Fresca style, cut-in-half, with homemade chips.

Zona Fresca is a perfect example of the quality you should expect from fast-food Mexican. Their name says it all, even to a gringo like me. And that is what is most recognizable about the food they serve, everything tastes fresh.

Fast food most generally means frozen food that is processed so it can be prepared and served quickly. Without that processing, much fast food would be a whole lot slower, and that's the beauty of Mexican food, you grill, you build and you serve, all fast, and all fresh. Zona Fresca efficiently dishes out freshly prepared Mexican favorites at a low price, a combination that makes it easy to enjoy the Zona Fresca anytime.

Zona Fresca offers a traditional fast food Mexican menu headlined by their Burritos and Tacos stuffed generously with your choice of fresh chicken or steak charbroiled on their grill. But their menu also includes specialties like Taquitos, Chile Rellenos and even Fish Burritos and Tacos, as well as other seafood items and even platters served with Cilantro Rice and beans.

But Zona Fresca add one more touch that seals the deal and makes you want to come back for more, the Salsa Bar. The help-yourself Salsa Bar has three choices of salsa made from whole charbroiled tomatoes and mixed with fresh produce and spices. There's also freshly chopped Pico de Gallo, shredded cabbage and sliced jalapeno peppers. You'll be tempted to pile a dollop of hot, mild or even green salsa on every bite, and you can, because you can have all you like.

Zona Fresca is a great place to have a delicious, inexpensive meal made from fresh ingredients, in a clean comfortable atmosphere, managed by a friendly and caring staff that serves up great food, sure to please both Latinos and Gringos alike.
