Zombies strike again: 3rd annual pub crawl and Aquarium finish line show

Poster design by Bill Delaney

Each Spring something peculiar happens in Downtown Fargo. The streets flood with hoards of bloody, beer-thirsty zombies.

Saturday, May 15, the dead rise again for the 3rd annual Zombie Pub Crawl, starting at Duffy’s at 4 p.m.

Whether you plan on dowsing yourself in food-coloring and corn syrup, or you want to go all out with the professional costume make-up, zombifying will grant you access to drink specials at participating bars and discounted admission to the after-party rock show at the Aquarium featuring GhostHandPunch, The Box Elders and Har Mar Superstar.

Most of the bars in Downtown Fargo are stops along the crawl, with the exception of the bar/restaurants that offer fine dining (think HoDo, Monte’s) and the Side Street, which according to the official ZPC FaceBook page, has requested to be left out this year.

The last official stop on the crawl is Dempsey’s and the Aquarium (above Dempsey’s) where F-M indie-pop GhostHandPunch, Omaha pop-rock The Box Elders (with their smooth sound that plays tribute to music of the 50s and 60s) and West Coast dance-pop sensation Har Mar Superstar (touring his latest album, “Dark Touches”) ring in the zombie apocalypse at 10 p.m.

Participation in the crawl is free, but all zombies must be 21 years old or older to enter bars (including the Aquarium). Advanced tickets for GHP, The Box Elders and Har Mar are $8, available at TicketWeb.com, Orange Records and The Red Raven. It’s $10 at the door, but zombies get in for $6.
