Zombie prank played on 'The Walking Dead's' Norman Reedus

According to The Blaze on Jan. 17, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on AMC's "The Walking Dead", becomes a victim of a prank. Nick Santonastasso, a no-legged, one-armed teenager and an avid fan of the show was called into Tokyo to perform a nicely done practical joke on the crossbow carrying walker killer.

Santonastasso, known for his YouTube videos for performing such pranks on strangers out in public, got together with Greg Nicotero and the rest of the crew to set up the debacle. The teenager was introduced to Gregory Lincoln and was coached in what he needed to do to terrify Reedus.

Santonastasso was in full zombie apparel and remained concealed as hidden cameras surrounded the room. Reedus thought he was being set up for an interview when the cast and crew was in another room viewing the scene and giving the super-fan the green light to rush out to scare Reedus.

Apparently, it worked to full effect and was even recognized by the actor from Santonastasso's the viral videos. It seems that his YouTube channel was an attempt to secure a spot on the show. Reedus was so impressed the he exclaimed jokingly, "Good job, you jerk!"

"The Walking Dead" returns Feb. 10 on AMC.
