The Los Angeles Times reported yesterday that the new movie "Zoe Gone" will air tonight on the Lifetime channel. "Zoe Gone," not said to be based on a true story, is similar to the Casey Anthony-Caylee Anthony case that made headlines in 2011. It is directed by Conor Allyn and written by Shane Mathers and Matthew Riopelle. The cast stars: Alexandra Holden, Sammi Hanratty and Andrea Bowen.
"Zoe Gone" synopsis/plot
When a teen mom's baby is abducted, she becomes the prime suspect in her daughter's disappearance. But, the teen will stop at nothing to prove her innocence and get her baby back.
"Zoe Gone" is not advertised as a movie based on a true story. But, true-crime buffs will find that the story is very similar to the Casey Anthony case. Casey Anthony was a young single mom who was accused of killing her baby in 2008 in order to have more free time to party. Anthony was found not guilty of first-degree murder in 2011.
