There are many variations of this baked ziti recipe. Some have Mozzarella cheese added in but this one does not. You can always layer slices of Mozzarella cheese into the dish and then bake it at 350* for about 30 minutes.

Ziti
- 1 box ziti pasta (1 pound box)
- 1 container ricotta cheese (12-16 ounces)
- 2 cans tomato sauce (8 ounces each)
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 small onion
- Garlic, 4-6 cloves
- Olive oil
- Salt. 1 tsp
- Pepper, 1 tsp
- Italian seasoning, 1 tsp
- Parmesan cheese, grated
Cook pasta.
While pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce.
Cut tomatoes, onion and garlic into small chunks.
Pour about 3 tbsp oil into a non stick pan over medium low heat.
Place garlic, onions and tomatoes into the oil. Cook until just browned.
Add sauce to pan. Season sauce with seasonings, to taste. Start out with 1 tsp each and add more if needed.
Heat on low until pasta is cooked.
Drain pasta.
Pour 1/2 sauce into 9x13 serving dish.
Add pasta.
Add remainder of sauce over the top.
Stir in container of ricotta cheese.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.
