Zero Escape was not profitable enough

Fans of 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors should most definitely be worried by this news. The story of 999 is supposed to be a trilogy and now the third game has been put on hold indefinitely. The director of the series, Kotaro Uchikoshi, took to Twitter to basically tell the masses that Zero Escape is not as popular as people may think. As with all businesses, it's all about profit. If something is not profitable, then why would a company want to continue it? Uchikoshi still has the passion to make the game and supposedly they looked at crowd funding like Kick Starter but decided not to use it. You may want to show him the numbers of projects like Mighty No 9 to show that Kick Starter can make dreams come true for the fans.
