'Zero Dark Thirty' tops box office (Video)

Kathryn Bigelow's new film "Zero Dark Thirty" is top at the box office this weekend. The film will be vying for four Golden Globe Awards tonight, including Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Director for Bigelow, Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for Jessica Chastain and Best Screenplay for writer Mark Boal.

The film has also been nominated for five Academy Awards although Bigelow was passed over for a nomination as director. The film will compete for Oscar gold in February in the categories of Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Jessica Chastain, Best Original Screenplay for Mark Boal, and a sound and editing nomination.

This last week the top films at the box office according to imdb.com were:

1. "Zero Dark Thirty".........................$24 million

2. "A Haunted House"........................$18.8 million

3. "Gangster Squad"...........................$16.7 million

4. "Django Unchained".......................$11.1 million

5. "Les Miserables"............................$10.1 million
