Zendaya grabs the lead during week 1 of DWTS

With a Disney kid you've got to expect talent on the dance floor and off and Zendaya is no exception. Zendaya and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy took an early lead with a 24 (8, 8, 8) for their contemporary routine. Second place was crowded: Two Olympic gold medalists (figure skater Dorothy Hamill and her partner Tristan MacManus and gymnast Alexandra Raisman and her partner Mark Ballas) and "American Idol" country singer Kellie Pickler with Derek Hough all received 21 points.

Hamill is the oldest competitor this season and she also performed a contemporary dance. Pickler and Raisman danced the cha cha cha.

In fourth place, football player Jacoby Jones with his partner Karina Smirnoff and soap opera star Ingo Rademacher and his partner Kym Johnson were tied with 20 points. In both cases, the low score of six was from head judge Len Goodman.

At the bottom of the board were the comedians. D.L. Hughley didn't benefit from Cheryl Burke's expertise. He received strait fours for his cha cha cha to "Low." Will his fans save him? I know I'm not alone when I say that I hope the first to go is Andy Dick. Dick turned in a 17 with a five from head judge Len Goodman for his foxtrot.
