It was a good first night for Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy as they began their journey together on the ballroom floor. The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” started out with a bang for the Disney Channel star and her sexy pro partner as they nabbed the highest scores of the night as reported by ABC News on March 18.
Zendaya has the title of being the youngest competitor ever in this popular dance competition. Now she can be proud of herself for being on top of the leaderboard on the first night of season 16. The three judges handed out all eights, which earned Zendaya and Val a score of 24 out of a possible 30. Carrie Ann Inaba told the "Shake it Up" star that she has maturity in her dancing, while Bruno Tonioli called her superb. Even newly married Len Goodman said that he is going to say what he never thought that he would on week one; she was great! How’s that for scoring it big on her premiere night of “Dancing with the Stars?”
Zendaya and Val’s contemporary dance was energetic, fun, and flowed together quite well. The 16-year-old actress came out in a super cute blue and yellow flowery dress and danced in bare feet. Val Chmerkovskiy had on matching yellow shoes and was even praised by Bruno on how good his choreography was. The 26-year-old Ukrainian told his partner after their dance that she was amazing. He also had a sweet talk with her during rehearsals saying, "I don't want you to be good, I want you to be incredible."
