Do you have a love for Zebras? Or maybe you just like the look of the Zebra pattern. What ever the reason why not have a Zebra inspired wedding. Animal print is popular this year. So be daring and go for it! Don't forget just because Zebra's are black and white doesn't mean you can't have color. Pink, Purple, Turquoise Blue, Orange, Yellow, even Red. Green is an option as well but be careful with the shade of green you chose. As it may end up looking a little more of the grassy side, but don't let that shy you away from it.
Venues: This theme could be held in a church, outside in a backyard, a nice park setting, or maybe opt for a place in a local Zoo. Of course be sure to keep the weather in mind.
Brides Dress: Here you could do with a classic White Dress. But why not dress it up a bit. By adding a Zebra pattern sash around the waist. Or maybe looking for a dress that has a Zebra print on it. I'll post a picture below of one or an idea.
Bridesmaids Dress: Here you can do a dress with a white top and black bottom. All black dress with a bit of white tied in it. Or go all out and get Zebra printed dresses. You can add color by using a colored belt of your choice, colored shoes, colored accessories, and of course the bouquets.
Maid of Honor: Here I would go with a black dress. Especially if your wedding dress is white and the Bridesmaids dresses are black and white. You don't want a dress to out shine yours. You could add white by using a sash/belt with a Zebra print or have the dress trimmed in white. You could always incorporate white using accessories. Hair pins, necklace, bracelets, shoes, are a few examples.
Flower Girl: A white dress trimmed in black lace around the bottom would work here. Add a Zebra printed headband with or without a flower attached to it. Wrap the handle of the flower basket with Zebra printed ribbon.
Groom and Groomsmen:Black and white tuxedo is the way to go here. You can add color by using a colored boutonniere if using the color red, pink, or orange, of course you can always go with white. Another idea is to wrap the stems of the boutonniere in Zebra print. The Groom and Groomsmen can trade the classic white shirt, for a colored shirt as well.
Ring Bearer: A black and white tuxedo is a good choice here. You could also go with black slacks, a white shirt and a Zebra printed vest. A white pillow with a black ribbon streaming down the side works well. Or vice versa. And of course you could always use a Zebra pillow as well with a white, black, or a colored ribbon attached to it.
Decorations: Guests table could be covered in Zebra printed linens, you could chose to go with a linen that covers the whole table and then use a solid color table runner to place over the top of that to bring in the color that you are using. Or you could use a solid color table linen, then on top of that use a smaller linen in the Zebra pattern. Fill vases with black and white crystals, then top off with flowers. Use chair covers and place bows on the back of guest chairs. Don't forget that candles can really help pull that romantic look together. Place candles inside vases or use floating candles. Remember to keep the open flame away from anything flammable. And try to not use pillar candles as they tend to melt uneven and hot wax can spill.
Cake: Here options are many: As you could go with a tiered cake iced in white and the Zebra strips added. You could have flowers added with the color you chose to use in your wedding, if you chose a color. If you choose a three tier cake you could do white on the bottom and top with the middle layer being black. You could opt for a cake in the color you chose to go with and have black Zebra strips added. And don't forget cupcakes, they can look nice with placed together on a tiered cupcake rack.
Invitations: Zebra print is the choice here. If using a color in your wedding you can have your cards printed in the color you are using with the Zebra print. Tie it all together by using a ribbon in either Zebra print or black.
Favors: Focusing on the black and white colors of the wedding, jelly beans placed in favor boxes is a great idea. Zebra printed picture frames. Chocolate and White Chocolate Hershey Kisses. Coconut Balls with chocolate drizzled on top. Popcorn favor bags, and even Oreo's can be used.
