Zeb and Deb math part 2 of 4: Telling time to the hour (Photos)

Zeb and Deb math presents the ‘Telling time to the hour’ slideshow and free downloadable worksheet. This is part two of four. This particular activity focuses in on clocks that only have numbers on display at the quarter hour.

Part 2 of 4: The students will practice telling time by looking at clocks that only have numbers on display at the quarter hour. Students can first watch the slideshow. Afterward, during seatwork time, they can complete the worksheet.

In part 3 of 4, students will work with clocks that have no numbers listed.

In part 4 of 4, students will work with digital clocks.

In part 1 of 4, students will work with clocks that have all twelve numbers on display.

Slideshow Directions

Set two slideshow has clocks with numbers only showing on the quarter hour.

The students will look at the clock on slides three to fourteen. They will then determine what time it is on the clock. Students should call their answer aloud. The answer key is included below.

Check for understanding with this Zeb and Deb Math worksheet

Afterward, to check for understanding, give each student a copy of the worksheet called “Zeb and Deb Math: Telling time to the hour worksheet #2.” During their seatwork time, they should follow the directions on the worksheet and write in their answers.

In this worksheet, twelve clocks are pictured. The students should look at each clock in turn. Using their neatest handwriting, they should write down the correct time in the box provided below each of those twelve clocks.
