One Direction might be one member short soon, according to reports on Feb. 6. Celebuzz reports that management for the record label fear Zayn Malik hasn’t got his head on straight and he’s considering walking away. Malik hasn’t been able to handle the spotlight very well and it’s starting to take its toll on the boy band singer.
Fans are panicked about the news since One Direction is about to start a world tour on Feb. 23. It’s been reported that Zayn was “rocked to his core” when an ex stripper from Australia, Courtney Webb, went public with her claims of sexual relations. This news not only affects Malik and One Direction fans, but it also affects his girlfriend, Little Mix singer, Perrie Edwards.
Despite that, sources say that Malik has been reconsidering his life in the spotlight long before the news broke. The singer finds it “difficult” spending so much time “away from his close knit family,” the source states.
No one wants Zayn to quit the band, least of all record label chief Simon Cowell who has offered Malik some extra time off to get his head cleared.
