The latest reports on Zayn Malik reveal some rather unfortunate news for many One Direction fans, as Celebuzz announced this Wednesday, Feb. 6, that Zayn is allegedly thinking about quitting One Direction. According to sources, the talented 1D singer began feeling the strain of fame and the media spotlight, particularly after he was accused of cheating with an Australian waitress while dating Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards in late Jan. 2013. These reports of Zayn leaving, however, remain unconfirmed.
Simon Cowell has allegedly given Zayn some time off, and will not “overwork” him before the next part of the 1D world tour.
“Zayn [Malik] was already becoming disillusioned and detached about his life in the limelight with One Direction. He’s found it hard spending so long away from his close knit family,” said the insider from Celebuzz. “There’s growing concern from the music producers that Zayn is on the brink at the moment."
Before fellow Zayn Malik and One Direction fans begin to really worry, these reports are only rumors for now — nothing has been confirmed by Zayn or the other lads about him considering leaving (let alone quitting) One Direction, or abandoning the group’s upcoming “Take Me Home” tour.
Zayn may want some more privacy right now, certainly, but it’s highly unlikely the “Kiss You” singer would let his fellow lads or his millions of fans down across the globe.
