On January 28, 2013, The Sun reported that One Direction's Zayn Malik and Little Mix's Perrie Edwards had a tense reunion in Nottingham, England, shortly after Malik became embroiled in a cheating scandal in which he has been accused of being unfaithful to Edwards.
As previously reported, a 21-year-old Australian waitress named Courtney "CJ" Webb gave an exclusive interview to The Sun in which she claimed that she had sex with Malik at his London home on January 23, 2013. She said she spent the night with him, and she took pictures of Malik sleeping in bed as proof of their encounter. (The photos were published by The Sun and are all over the Internet.)
Malik, 20, and Edwards, 19, met in late 2011. They went public with their romance in April 2012.
One Direction and Little Mix are both groups that are former "X Factor" U.K. contestant acts. One Direction came in third place on the show in 2010. Little Mix is the 2011 winner of "The X Factor" U.K.
One Direction has become the biggest-selling global act to emerge from "The X Factor," by having No. 1 hits and sold-out tours in several countries. Little Mix's success so far has only been in the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Little Mix's first album is expected to be released in the U.S. sometime in 2013. Both groups are signed to Syco Music and represented by Modest! Management. One Direction and Little Mix also consist of members who originally auditioned for "The X Factor" U.K. as solo singers but then were put into their respective groups by "The X Factor" U.K.
Webb said that before she had sex with Malik, he lied to her when he told her that he didn't have a girlfriend. She realized after she had sex with him that he had a girlfriend because she saw several of Edwards' belongings at Malik's home. She said that Malik eventually admitted that he had a girlfriend and said that his girlfriend was away on a tour. Webb also described Malik as cold and dismissive to Webb after they had their one-night stand.
According to The Sun, the day that the tabloid published the interview (in the issue dated January 27, 2013), Malik went to Nottingham, England, where Little Mix had a concert on January 28, 2013.

Malik, Edwards and their representatives haven't publicly commented on the cheating scandal.
According to The Sun, even though Malik is staying at the same Nottingham hotel as Little Mix, "Perrie did not breakfast with other guests, eating alone in her room" on the morning of January 28, 2013. The Sun reported: "But she agreed to meet with Zayn to talk about saving their romance. The couple emerged from the hotel just after midday — looking extremely tense. Zayn puffed on a cigarette before climbing into a cab with Perrie, 19. As the car pulled away she avoided looking at him by applying make-up. The couple refused to say if they had patched things up."
A source told The Sun: “Perrie’s still deeply in love with Zayn. She’s very unlikely to end the relationship after this episode. The fact that they are physically together speaks volumes. It looks like she’s willing to give him a second chance. Her friends and band mates know she’s head-over-heels in love with him. But she’ll certainly be keeping a closer eye on him after this incident.”
Meanwhile, an unnamed "friend" of Edwards told the Daily Mirror how Edwards has been reacting to the scandal: “She’s shocked by what this woman said and doesn’t know what to think. Her head’s all over the place. Her friends have been telling her that he’s a rat who will never change his ways. They’ve been saying that she’s gorgeous and successful, and should find a man who will treat her with the respect she deserves. Perrie really wants to believe in Zayn. She’s still in love with him and wants things to work out but feels humiliated by what this woman is going around saying.”
As for Webb, she says she's been getting death threats and other harassment from angry One Direction fans, ever since she went public about her alleged one-night stand with Malik. Webb says she has no interest in hooking up with Malik again. And she had this to say to The Sun about the abuse she's been getting from One Direction fans and other people who are harassing her for going to a tabloid with her story: "I’m not bothered about what the Directioners or anyone else has to say about me. I know the truth of what happened with Zayn and have plenty of proof. At the end of the day, he shouldn’t have cheated."
