Zara Phillips has given birth to a 7 lb. 12 ounce baby girl in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester. The as-yet unnamed baby girl was born the morning of Jan. 17, 2014, according to The Daily Mail. The Queen's eldest granddaughter was seen in public as late as last weekend and mother and baby have already gone home to Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire. Mike Tindall reportedly said that “the girls are doing great” and that this was the best day of his life.

The new baby girl is 16th in line to the throne and, like Zara Phillips herself, will have no title. She is, to all intents and purposes, a private individual, which means that royal-watchers are unlikely to see official shots or, indeed, any photographs not taken by paparazzi. She is the queen's fourth great-grandchild and third great-granddaughter.

According to reports, the couple did not want to know the child's gender beforehand. Princess Anne and Peter Phillips have already seen the new baby girl. The Telegraph is reported that Anne is the current favorite name in the book-makers' shops, though the couple had earlier said they were considering Poppy as a name.
