When was the last time you were invited out for a night at the ballet? Well, if you don’t make it there this Fall, designer Zang Toi has created a collection for Spring 2014 that will twirl you into an allure of style. Fashion and ballet were joined together to create red-carpet worthy gowns, bold suits and dresses, all ideal for the woman he coined, The Ballet Babe. Flowing silhouettes displayed throughout the presentation were inspired by the graceful form of a ballet dancer and designed to make a woman feel like one – at least those whom can afford his pricey pieces.
While many designers who presented their lines during the Spring 2014 collections went with bold bright colors, designer Zang Toi decidedly went with a palette that consisted of jet black, powder blue and blush pink. The stark contrast was mysterious yet light, and suitable for the earlier part of the Spring season. Ballet Babes were sent down the runway wearing chignons created by Hair stylist Eiji Yamane for Rene Futerer. Low ponytails with finger waves were the perfect updos for the dancing inspired model darlings.
Nail looks were created by Zoya, which included a color customized for the show called Black Swan. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait until next Spring to purchase the polish trio can be purchased now for $24 on zoya.com.
