Zahra Baker case: America’s Most Wanted profiles missing N.C. girl Zahra Baker
Zahra Baker has been missing since October 9, 2010 and John Walsh from America’s Most Wanted is profiling her case in a web exclusive. An Amber Alert was issued for Zahra Baker on October 9th and remains active. Zahra’s stepmother, Elisa Baker, was arrested on Sunday on unrelated, misdemeanor charges. Though authorities believe Zahra may not have been abducted by a stranger, they are not ruling out anything. Zahra’s stepmother, Elisa Baker and her father, Adam Baker, have not been ruled out as suspects or persons of interest.
Zahra is a bone cancer survivor and she lost her left leg, below the knee, and her hearing due to the illness. The Hickory Police Department in North Carolina is handling the case.
Zahra Baker was last seen at her residence at 21 21st Avenue in North Carolina at approximately 2:30 a.m., early Saturday morning. She is 10-years-old and was last seen wearing a camouflage Army tee shirt and black knee length tights. She is 5’ tall and weighs 55 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
