Actor Zachary Quinto is making a name for himself on stage as well as in film. On Thursday it was announced that the “Star Trek” actor has been chosen to serve as the guest of honor at this year’s Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival’s Annual Dinner.

Qunito has been busy with his recent starring role as Tom Winfield in the highly acclaimed Broadway production of the Tennessee Williams classic, “The Glass Menagerie.” His performance on stage didn’t earn him a Tony Award nomination, but did earn him a nomination for the Distinguished Performance Award by the Drama League.

In a press release, Executive Director Jef Hall-Flavin announced how excited they are to have Quinto as part of the festivities. He says, “We’re really thrilled to have Zachary Quinto as our special guest after his recent success in ‘The Glass Menagerie.’ He is an outstanding actor who breathed new life into Tom Wingfield, one of Williams’ most personal and poignant characters.” Hall-Flavin also went on to confess that he is a big fan of Quinto’s in “Heroes”.

As part of the festivities, Quinto will mingle with fans before dinner and will appear on state at Town Hall to take part in a candid conversation with Festival Curator David Kaplan. The dinner also is a platform for the announcement of the program of shows upcoming for the Festival’s 9th Season. Hall-Flavin also announced this year’s theme as “Tennessee Williams’ Circle of Friends.”

Fans of Quinto may also catch the 36-year-old star in the upcoming film “Agent 47.” Quinto has been working out steadily in preparation of the role and has even posted shirtless selfies on Instagram showing off the results. The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival will take place September 25 through September 28. The annual dinner featuring Zachary Quinto will take place on May 31.
