One Direction's Harry Styles, 19, has been hanging out recently with former "Scrubs" star Zach Braff, 38. On Jan. 20, 2014, Braff joked about their relationship by tweeting, “For those of you asking, @Harry_Styles is a dynamite spooner.”
Whether or not Styles and Braff have actually done any spooner cuddling, they've developed a fast friendship. On Jan. 18, 2014, Styles attended the Sundance Film Festival premiere of Braff's movie "Wish I Was Here," which he made through Kickstarter funds.
After the premiere, Styled tweeted: “I wasn’t crying. I had sweaty eyes. Loved it.”
"Wish I Was Here" is the second feature film written and directed by Braff. (He also wrote and directed 2006's "Garden State." After the Sundance premiere of "Wish I Was Here," Focus Features acquired North American distribution rights to the movie, which will be released in 2014 on a date to be announced. The cast of "Wish I Was Here" includes Braff, Kate Hudson, Ashley Greene and Josh Gad.
Styles and Braff began a Twitter banter in late 2013. Around Halloween 2013, Braff tweeted: ".@Harry_Styles I'm being you for Halloween. Can u DM me your measurements?" Styles replied, "@zachbraff but.. I thought we were going together as Lilo and Stitch? Back to the drawing board..."
Braff (who has never been married) and Styles have reputations for being big flirts. Despite rampant rumors that Styles is bisexual, he denied it in a 2013 GQ interview. One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw have both publicly denied speculation that they have been romantically involved with Styles.
In early December 2013, after Styles and Braff were seen having dinner together, Braff tweeted: "So I'd like to thank Harry for following me because I got like a zillion 12 year olds who love me too. They think that me and Harry are hanging out together, going out on the town ... I would wine and dine him, although he's probably not legal to drink so I would buy him the sexiest Diet Coke he's ever had."
One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010. The group has since gone on to become the biggest-selling act worldwide to emerge from "The X Factor."
