Zac Posen spices up Fall 2013 at NYFW! (Photos)

Things were looking pretty spicy as Fashion Designer Zac Posen presented his eponymous Zac Posen Fall 2013 collection in a fashion show for Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week on February 10, 2013 in New York City.

Amid the gilded baroque surroundings of the Plaza Hotel Terrace Room, Posen rolled out hit after hit as buyers spied his collection for possibilities…

For this Autumn 2013 offering, Posen uses a decidedly autumnal color palette to include pumpkin orange, nutmeg, chocolate brown, cinnamon, saffron yellow and burgundy. To that spicy spectrum, Posen adds the occasional purple, blue, olive, grey or basic black.

Posen’s talents clearly lie with evening gowns, cocktail dresses and suits worthy of any red carpet event, which is why the New York-based designer has been popular with starlets and divas including Claire Danes, Amanda Seyfried, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce Knowles, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez.

Aside from several splendid evening gowns including those rendered in saffron yellow, pumpkin orange and chocolate brown, there are also some very dressy separates and suits, many embroidered, including the topaz brown plaid skirt suit with the brown fur scarf. A wine-colored embroidered top was nicely paired with a ruffled chiffon skirt.

As designers show their collections for next Fall, there definitely seems to be a trend emerging: expect to see pumpkin spice tones of orange, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves...

Nicely done Zac Posen with this Fall 2013 collection! Enjoy the Zac Posen Fall 2013 collection slideshow…
