Zac Efron's recent substance abuse issues that secretly sent the "High School Musical" star to rehab earlier this year are being reported to have been a lot more serious than originally thought according to Tuesday, September 17 reports from Hollywood News Daily.
Efron allegedly was sent to rehab in secret for a severe addiction to cocaine and Molly.
Zac Efron reportedly began using cocaine pretty hard while filming the Seth Rogan movie "Neighbors." The drug related issues became so severe that Zac allegedly missed several days in row putting the filming crew way behind schedule.
Efron checked into rehab last April and it was originally believed that the young superstar was battling an alcohol problem according to sources close to Efron.
"It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine."
Three other sources confirm ... Zac's problem was rooted in cocaine, but say he also dabbled in Molly -- a pure form of Ecstasy, and a popular drug in clubs and raves.
E! News reported that Zac Efron was in rehab. The sites saying he's "focusing on his career after [his] rehab stint."
TMZ reports that they reached out to Zac Efron's reps for comment, but was told that they, "don't think we'll be making a comment."
