Z is for ZUMBA!

Zumba. It’s everywhere, and it’s taking the fitness industry by storm. The Latin-inspired dance-fitness program will give you the cardio workout of your dreams—one that doesn’t really even feel like a workout. The class consists of Latin-style dancing set to upbeat dance music led by an instructor, and that’s it. No sprints, crunches, or burpees—just an all-out, sweat-inducing, calorie-burning dance and fitness party. You don’t have to know what you’re doing—you don’t even need to know how to dance. Just show up, head to the back of the room for the first few times, and follow along. It’s the perfect opportunity to fake it until you feel it.

Not only has Zumba fitness taken the fitness industry by storm, but the music industry as well. International superstar and artist, Pittbull, has been chosen by Zumba Fitness to be the first artist to debut their new promotional music platform. Pitbull and Zumba have teamed up to successfully integrate Pitbull’s new song “Pause” off of his latest album Planet Pit into the Zumba dance-fitness routines across the nation. Zumba’s creator, Alberto "Beto" Perez, has specially choreographed a dance-fitness routine based on Pitbull’s song “Pause.” CEO of Zumba Fitness, Alberto Perlman states, “We're thrilled to roll out this innovative music platform with the release of a Pitbull track to our global network of passionate instructors and enthusiasts. It's truly a unique way to generate awareness and buzz for the release of Planet Pit."
