Atlanta fashionistas, it was all about luxe fabrics, raw silk in jewel tones and sharp suits at the Yves Saint Laurent Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2012 show for Paris Fashion Week on 3 October 2011 in the city of lights.
The color palette for YSL’s Spring 2012 collection is bottle green, purples, mauves as well as the signature combination of the Yves Saint Laurent signature colors blue and black.
A recurring theme was a crossover neck top, which was presented in the colors deep red, purple and cobalt. Other popular themes included long, flared printed skirts and capes in solid colors as well as prints.
One of my favorites is definitely the strapless pink dress with black to either side, embellished with the jeweled belt.
Attending the Yves Saint Laurent fashion show were actress Salma Hayek and husband Francois-Henri Pinault, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR) which is the holding company of Yves Saint Laurent.
Hayek wore a sleeveless khaki colored leather sheath while recuperating from an ankle injury to her right leg but nevertheless braved a pair of black high-heeled pumps.
Australian singer Kylie Minogue wore the cutest red, white and blue top with black pants and matching deep red pumps.
English actress Emily Blunt attended in the pretty purple satin high-necked blouse, which she paired with a snakeskin jacquard brown skirt in a most delicious combination!
French actress and model Audrey Marnay was already wearing the pretty oranges and yellows which feature quite prominently next spring but work just as well as autumnal colors for this Fall!
