Yuengling Brewery fire issues haven't kept the business down for long. It seems that the brewery is ready to get back to work on Monday (Oct. 28), despite going through a big fire on Saturday (Oct. 26). According to a new report, the damage is said to actually look worse than it really is. A spokesman with Tampa Fire and Rescue (Henry Williams) stated that, "The fire was actually contained to the external portion of that wall."
Pictures from when crews first started arriving on scene looked pretty bad and it really looked like the structure could end up being a total loss. In fact one report from that night stated that the structure was "engulfed in flames." The cause has now been traced back to construction that was taking place on the upper level of the plant. They were putting up a fire escape and it was then that a piece of the very old wooden members inside the wall ignited.
The good news for the company and its workers is that everyone was evacuated safely on the night of the incident. The even better news after the Yuengling Brewery fire is that none of the product was damaged and the facilities that are actually used for production also escaped unharmed. In every sense of the meaning, business is back to normal.
