Miley Cyrus has got to be having a rough day. After all her spotlight antics in 2013, she has come in second in another year in review poll. Getting beat by the Pope for the top slot of Time Magazine’s Person of the Year and now she is second on YouTube’s Top Trending Music Videos of 2013. The young artist might have been popular, but not enough as Psy took the top spot for his music video Gentleman.
Psy took over the YouTube charts in 2012 as well as the stop brought the world Gangnam Style, but some critics suggested his follow up music video wasn't as popular. However, it appears that the music critics forgot that the rest of the world loves Psy and he appealed to the masses.
Miley Cyrus had two music videos on the charts with Wrecking Ball and We Can’t Stop coming in at second and third place respectively, but the shock of her not getting the first place has fans fuming. While most people are aware of Miley Cyrus’ music, the artist doesn't get as much attention around the world as she does in Hollywood. Her spotlight antics in many parts of the world are completely foreign and her fans can’t compensate for the lack of a global audience.
As for Psy, it appears he had the world’s attention in 2013. And he was such a Gentleman about it!
