YouTube prom invite video: Jake Davidson to Kate Upton: 'I'm Jewish, you're Christian' gets reply
This new YouTube video of Jake Davidson inviting Kate Upton to prom has garnered nearly 1 million views on YouTube, and a potential prom date for the funny lad, who waxes all Ferris Bueller-like in scenes shot around beautiful Los Angeles, showing him soaping up his hair in the shower, getting a jacket placed on him by a bathrobed butler/friend who also hands him roses to present to Kate as he gets on his knees.
Even though "I'm Jewish, you're Christian," as Jake says in the video, noting Kate's (can I call you Katie?) differences in beliefs and height -- she's 5-feet-10 -- one can't help but root for this kid as he does push-ups and talks about "driving around all night…until 11, my curfew."
What a funny dude.
And what a sweetheart Kate is for responding on Twitter, telling Jake, "you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule ;)."
With such chutzpah and creativity to put together a short film like that, we can only hope Jake not only gets a prom date, but a future in feature film, all messianic "Jews for Jesus" style:
