Once again, summer time is almost here ! The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library will begin it's Youth Summer Reading Program kickoff, "One World, Many Stories", starting at 2:00-5:00 pm Saturday June 11th 2011. All ages are welcome ! This event will go on all summer long till July 23, 2011 ending at 3:00 pm.
Some of this year's special programs include:
- The Kickoff Around the World Party to start the summer
- A visit from Sam Bartlett: The Official Stuntologist
- The "How to Train Your Dragon" food and craft morning
- Story Time
- The Adult "Spinning Class"
- A visit from Charlie the Black-Footed Penguin from the Cincinnati Zoo
- Journey Stories: A Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit sponsored by the KY Humanities Council and brought to you by the Harrison County Museum
- The End of the Summer Reading Program Celebration, with a visit from Dr. Phineas A. Bucket who will dazzle you with stories, and help hand out Summer Reading Prizes!
Also, the Bookstore will be available every Friday starting June 17 and 24, July 1, 8, 15, & 22 from 9am-6pm and the Teen Food Program: Ages 11-18 yrs from 12 noon-1pm (the same dates above)
The Summer Reading Program will be open to children of all ages. Special library programs will be available for ages:
- Birth to 5 years
- 2-5 years
- 5-12 years
- 11-18 years
- All Ages
