The Bible is filled with true stories meant to inspire you to live the life that God means for you to live. A common theme in these stories is how God can turn your weakness into something powerful. Whether your weakness is a physical or mental limitation, an addiction, a financial struggle, or a relationship issue, healing can be found with God. Your weakness is an opportunity for God to show what He can do in your life. How exciting is that!

The world is filled with people who God is using despite of their weaknesses and limitations. Joni Eareckson Tada is one of those people. In 1967 she was a vibrant teenager full of life. One day while swimming she dove into shallow water, breaking her neck. This resulted in Joni becoming a quadriplegic. Today Joni is a best-selling Christian author, musician, and mouth artist. That’s right. Joni paints beautiful pictures using nothing but a paintbrush in her mouth, and she does it all to glorify the God who she credits with turning her life around. It would have been easy for Joni to stay angry at God and give up on her life. Instead she made peace with God and gave her life over to Him, trusting Him. In her, He created a masterpiece of His own. Joni is a leading advocate for the disabled community.

Joni’s story is one among many that you can find in which God has intervened amid a person’s weakness. It is so important in this life to never give up, and to put your faith and trust in the God of the universe. You are His child, and He only wants the best for you. He sees the big picture that you cannot always see. Your view is limited. Knowing, however, that your Heavenly Father always has you in the palm of His hand is the biggest comfort imaginable. You need not walk in fear of anything this world has to offer. You are never alone.

In John 16:33, Jesus says, “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Hold onto this promise. Your life will never be the same.
