SPEED’s Race Hub hosted by Steve Byrnes airs weekdays at 7:00 pm. Eastern and each week in an exclusive behind-the-scenes opportunity, you the fan can have your voice heard.
This week’s subjects include the announcement of the second class of NASCAR’s Hall Of Fame and the guests include Kasey Kahne.
First up, the second class of NASCAR’s Hall Of Fame.
On Wednesday, the second class of inductees will be announced for the NASCAR Hall of Fame, in Charlotte, N.C. Five new members will join last year’s inaugural class of Bill France Sr., Bill France Jr., Junior Johnson, Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty.
There are five first-time nominees this year: Jerry Cook, Jack Ingram, Dale Inman, Fred Lorenzen and T. Wayne Robertson. You can see the full list of all 25 nominees here.
So the question is, is there a name on this list you feel should be on there and isn’t? Most importantly, why? Who would your five picks be?
Next up: He has 11 career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins and is one of the most popular drivers among fans and fellow competitors. Richard Petty Motorsports driver Kasey Kahne has been one of the most talked about drivers this season. At one point he faced a somewhat uncertain future; but after signing with Hendrick Motorsports Kahne will actually spend next year at Red Bull Racing before taking over the ride currently occupied by Mark Martin.
So what would you ask Kasey Kahne?
Here’s the deal. Your comments on the Hall Of Fame selection and your picks will be forwarded to the show, what they decide to do with them is their business.
As for the questions, not all will be answered. But after the show Kasey will take time to answer as many as he can for us. Right now the plan is for Kasey to answer the questions on video. I’ll then post the video here the next day. If a question doesn’t get answered on video and we will do our best to get them answered for you and post the responses via text.
