Behind the scenes of "The Journey"

Pastor Crouch has made an indelible mark on Gospel and Contemporary Christian music over his 50 year music career. He has bridged racial and generational gaps with his music and is still one of the most inspiring artists of all time. Together with his twin sister Sandra, the pair served on stage and in ministry leading in their late father's footsteps at New Christ Memorial Church in San Fernando, California.

International Christian broadcasting giant Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) is also reporting on the matter and soliciting prayers for their longtime friend. Pastor Crouch played an integral part in reaching African-American audiences with his music on the various "Praise the Lord" broadcasts. Crouch even received his own show feature on the premiere Christian television station.

Crouch's influence reaches far and wide. Crossover (Gospel/CCM) superstar Israel Houghton lists Crouch as one his inspirations and his music clearly bears the mark of the signature Crouch (and the Disciples) sound. So many owe the success of their careers to Pastor Crouch who is simply paying forward the blessings bestowed upon him by his predecessors. A true friend of God and all around him, Pastor Crouch needs our prayers of healing and support.

The message posted by the COGIC IMD Read:

Per our beloved sister and friend, Sandra Crouch, her twin brother Pastor Andrae Crouch is facing some serious health challenges, and has just been recently released from the hospital...Pastor Andrae Crouch has been there for us, now we need to be there for him --- with our most fervent prayers. Although we may never be able to tell this great man of God ALL that he has meant to the body of Christ, we can send words of encouragement and strength and testimonials that will speak life into his spirit.

To quote one of Pastor Crouch's hits from his early days, "I can't get you out of my mind, I'll be thinking 'bout you all of the time...I'll be praying for you...". It's this examiner's sincere prayer that the Lord would 'do it again' for this gospel giant. So many have been blessed by the way God continues to use him to encourage listeners everywhere.
