You've spent months looking through bridal magazines and trying on dozens of dresses until you found the one that was really you. Your bridal headpiece deserves just as much attention! After all, it is your crowning glory, and, it can enhance your gown or make people quietly whisper "what was she thinking."
While there are a variety of bridal headpieces for brides, the two that remain most popular are veils and tiaras.
Tiaras:
The wonderful thing about tiaras is that they work well with just about any bridal gown or dress. It also offers wonderful versatility since it can be worn with or without a veil. Tiaras work best with short hair and with up-dos.
Veils
Veils are a more complicated issue. And there are four basic types of veils:
- Blusher (Shoulder Length)
- Elbow Length
- Fingertip Length
- Catherdral Length
Length does need to be taken into consideration, if your gown or dress is elaborated decorated in back, you don't want to cover it up with a catherdral length veil. You'll also want a veil in which you can easily maneuver and not fight when you lift it off your face.
Color is another important factor, don't order a white veil if you gown is off-white or ivory, any good bridal shop will help you match the colors.
