Your guy wants Mantry for Valentine's Day

With Valentine’s Day creeping up on us on Friday, if you haven’t gotten your guy a gift yet, don’t panic.

Introducing Mantry, an American food-of-the-month club for men based in New York.

If he doesn’t know good food or has a special knack for cooking, he will love this unique gift. Each box is filled with foods to give him a better taste of the good life. We recently checked out the Retox box filled with some tasty gifts.

Included in the box was Reginald’s bourbon pecan butter, which was the perfect pick-me-up in the morning to any slice of toast. For lunch, he will love the can of creamy Dogfish Head Brewery’s Hardtack Chowder. Just add some cream and some brown ale (preferably of the Dogfish Head style) and simmer for a hearty and delicious winter treat.

Throughout Valentine’s Day, he can snack on our favorite treat, Olli Salumeria Calabrese Salami, which goes best with a bottle of red wine, aged cheese and some crackers or crusty bread. My husband loved the small production flavored popcorn by Butter & Scotch Green Chile Margarita.

When evening rolls around, it’s time for a cocktail. Wece, prefer the Dark & Stormy type, so we loved the inclusion of Morris Kitchen’s Ginger Syrup. Simply add to seltzer water, ice and a little bit of lime paired up with your favorite rum for your own handcrafted cocktail.

Finish it all off with a hot chocolate filled with Wondermade Guinness Marshmallows. Good enough to eat on their own, these light and fluffy marshmallows go best with the creamy goodness of a hot chocolate kicked up a notch with some Bailey’s.
