The Mid-heaven or Medium Colei (MC) is the point of the sky the birth place was facing at the time of birth. Time and location, not just birth date, are needed to determine the Mid-heaven sign.
Although each individual has their own true qualities exhibited naturally (Sun sign influence), the Mid-heaven calls out quality or qualities of the sign in the Mid-heaven that the individual is or will be drawn to admire at least initially, later will possess, and ultimately exhibiting. Let’s cite a Scorpio with Leo Mid-heaven. A Scorpio is believed to be comfortable simply working in the background. But, because of the Leo Mid-heaven, the Scorpio native will eventually realize that he/she will need to exhibit leadership qualities in order to fully make the difference he/she envisioned. How about a Gemini or Sagittarius who has a Pisces Mid-heaven? Although empathy may not be among the top qualities of Gemini or Sagittarius natives, the Pisces Mid-heaven makes them value compassion, exhibit them, and use their Sun sign talents to inspire especially as they grow mature. These are but examples of ‘calling’ the Mid-heaven urges us in order to achieve that deeper fulfillment we seek.
