New Jersey band Senses Fail announced a contest on their Facebook page that could be a big break for a couple of lucky local bands.
In a note posted on the band's page Friday, the band announced that they are searching for two local bands to open for them at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale on July 16th.
According to the note, bands that are interested in entering should "send an email to sensesfailcontest@gmail.com with the subject stating your bands name." Emails must also "include a little bit about the band and a link to music." Submissions for the contest have begun and will go on for the next three weeks, concluding on June 24th. That same day, the winning bands will be contacted and their names will be posted on Senses Fail's Facebook page.
Senses Fail wrapped up a nationwide tour in support of their fourth album, The Fire, with The Ghost Inside, Man Overboard, and Transit in April and have since announced four more shows in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania for July. Dates are listed below.
This is a great opportunity for a couple of local bands to get some much needed exposure, as well as the approval of one of the most popular hardcore bands on the scene.
