On Thursday, September 18, nextgen, the young professionals group of Chapman Partnership, will host Night in the FRC, a game night with the children and families living in Chapman Partnership's Family Resource Center.

A total of 60 to 70 children are expected to take on the young professionals of nextgen in some friendly competition, said Amy Senat, Development and Marketing Specialist at Chapman Partnership. Night in the FRC is one of nextgen's regular events, typically hosted every few months.

Chapman Partnership is dedicated to helping the homeless men, women and children of Miami-Dade by providing emergency shelter, meals, healthcare, job training, life skills training, and assistance in securing housing and employment. Through these services and programs, Chapman Partnership aims to empower its residents to become self-sufficient and independent members of the community. With two 800-bed centers, one in Miami and one in Homestead, Chapman Partnership has served more than 98,000 individuals, including 20,000 children, in Miami-Dade since 1995. The organization has a more than 63 percent success rate of helping homeless individuals and families create and sustain positive futures for themselves.

Nextgen is the young professionals group within Chapman Partnership. Made up of community leaders and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40, nextgen offers members opportunities to meet with established leaders, opportunities to give back with hands-on volunteer opportunities, and invitations to social and networking events. The nextgen annual membership donation of $75 feeds a family of four for two weeks. For more information about nextgen, click here. To become a member, click here.
