Urgent Dogs of Miami

Dale was picked up by Miami-Dade Animal Control in the Miami area as a stray; some irresponsible owner allowed this young one-and-a-half-year-old dog to become undernourished, lame, and neglected. Dale weighs only 46 pounds.

Brought in on April 2, Dale was made available for rescue or adoption on Tuesday.

When examined by the shelter's veterinary personnel, the following has been noted on Dale's record:

Poor body score and muscle mass general .
MM pink moist and heart lung sound normal .
Muscle atrophy on the R hind leg with shifting weight toward the opposite side.
Ortho exam shows asymmetry on the coxo femoral area .
Abduction of the affected limb shows crepitus . This is a possible old injury since muscle mass is atrophy on the affected leg.
Rflx were present but slow.
R/o hip luxation ,dysplacia, trauma.
Tec rads and meanwhile rimadyl and peng inj given and rx rimadyl panacur mk

Dale has been listed in the Code Red - Urgent Dogs.
