Update 6/9/14: Rescued by the German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County!!
The need is constant - the influx of homeless dogs is relentless...tragically, amazing dogs are being put down each and every day. A young dog, still a puppy for all intents and purposes, is in grave danger at the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.
The dog, a German shepherd known only by her identification number, has been locked behind bars since May 22. The dog, ID#A4712944, was "due out" on May 27...each day that passes puts her at greater risk of being destroyed.
It has been a bad week at this facility - each day, a long list of dogs with the lone word "gone" is posted to Facebook - some dogs are killed on the same day that their hold time is up.
Please take a moment to share this dog's information - she is just a year old and should have a long life ahead of her.
