Young Entrepreneur Series empowering girls in Detroit

The Young Entrepreneur Series (YES) is an educational program providing real life entrepreneurship education to young girls age 14 to 18. YES was developed in 2004 by the Michigan Association for Female Entrepreneurs.

YES seeks to prepare young girls to be responsible, enterprising individuals who contribute to the economic development of the community. The goal of YES is to gain and improve economic possibilities for young girls and to educate young people in Detroit on how to build businesses that create employment and contribute towards economic improvement.

YES will be conducting a Leadership Camp July 13-15, 2012. The program is designed to inspire high school girls to become self-confident, courageous, and compassionate leaders in their communities. The Leadership Camp will be held in Howell, Michigan at the Howell Conference and Nature Center. The fee to participate is $175 and includes transportation, room and board, meals, all activities and much more. Applications are accepted through June 15, 2012. Space is limited.
