Young dog, impounded for months, increasingly depressed and out of time

For several months, a handsome dog named "Paw Paw" has been impounded at the Antioch Animal Services facility in Antioch, Calif.

The dog, who is just a year of age, is growing increasingly depressed at the facility - and he is running out of time. On Thursday morning, the National Dog News Examiner received the following plea to help Paw Paw:

This beautiful boy is at the Antioch Animal Services and is in desperate need of a home. His name is Paw Paw and has been at the shelter for a couple of months, he doesn't show very well in his kennel as he is depressed and doesn't interact well.

Paw Paw is a 1 year old PitBull, very gentle, great with dogs of all sizes and would do best with older kids. He is neutered, house broken and in good health.

His time is running out and with the holiday weekend coming up and shelters gearing up for a huge intake of dogs, we are afraid Paw Paw will get pushed further back.

Paw Paw has a plethora of wonderful attributes...he is gentle, playful, good with other dogs, young and in good health - what he needs is more visibility and the chance to live out his life in the company of a loving guardian who will appreciate him for the great dog that he is.

Please help Paw Paw find a home by sharing his information:
