Young dog at high kill Los Angeles shelter nobody even notices

UPDATE: This dog has been adopted, and best of all, she has been named Hope. Thank you everyone for sharing her story.

She may not at this time be the prettiest dog in the world, but this three-year-old, unaltered black and white pit bull terrier mix was surrendered at the high kill South Los Angeles Animal Care without her newborn puppies on Jan. 22. No one has even given her a name.

With some care, good food, and a bath or two, the beautiful young dog she once was will surely return.

Sadly, her photo has been shared 5,100 times, and yet no one has stepped forward to help. Volunteers tell us she is friendly and her temperament shows absolutely no aggression towards people or other dogs.

And this poor down on her luck dog is so scared being in the shelter, she urinates on herself when strangers come into her kennel.

Pledges over $800 are being offered to an approved organization to help with her expenses. It has been reported this dog has now been spayed.
